Otelli is the main anchor for News 5, the flagship nightly news programme for Mediacorp Channel 5. She also regularly presents breaking news bulletins on CNA.

A former national sprinter, Otelli started her career as a sports journalist with Mediacorp, reporting on the SEA Games and also anchored the regional broadcaster’s coverage of the 2004 Olympics in Athens.

She has interviewed the A-listers of sports, including sprint legend Carl Lewis, boxing champion Manny Pacquio, and England rugby great Johnny Wilkinson.

Otelli is equally adept at exploring everyday subjects close to home. For several years she presented On The Red Dot, a weekly current affairs programme that celebrates stories of resilience, resourcefulness, and identity of ordinary Singaporeans.
